Sparkle
A Spark Commission for the FUSE Medway Festival
Hidden Door Productions produced a magical and fun kaleidoscopic art installation on the Strood Waterfront as part of the FUSE Medway Festival 2010.
The colourful art installation became a backdrop for free events put on by the community for the community.
Events that took place
Curious Planet ran a music and theatre workshop based around opera. Participants took part in the workshop and then performed what they had learnt. The project was funded by the Creative Campus Initiative, the University of Kent and supported by Curious Planet.

International soloists Tania Marie Williams and Peter Grevatt, accompanied by Robyn Sevastos perfomed opera arias.
Yoga taster sessions for beginners were provided by Laura Hayward of Twisty Twirly Yoga - email: twistytwirly@googlemail.com
Jez from Shi Kon Martial Arts International – Chatham provided a martial arts demonstration and Tai Chi workshop - web: www.shikon.com/chatham.html
Make your own mini Sparkle art workshops were run by artists from Hidden Door Productions and a fun chalk art competition transformed the area into a giant canvas.
