Welcome to the archives & network
The project and organisation archives and network allow you to create project records, associate yourself, or your company with existing projects, and archive visual, audio and text material related to a project. Each project also provides a blog, allowing space for reflection, comment and reminiscence.
We accept archives for any projects falling under the broad banner of outdoor performance and celebratory performance. A project may be a one-off event, a touring show, or a festival of multiples events. In the latter case we would hope that each individual show would also eventually create its own, independent record.
An organization may be a producing company, a public sector body, a team of artists, a specialist skills provider, or an ad hoc grouping. In some cases an organization may be synonymous with an event, such as a festival producer. It would still be useful to create the orgaisation and the event, as the records may serve different purposes.
If you operate as a freelance artist you may either create your own organization, or simply allow your profile to represent you.
We welcome `festivals` creating their own organisation entry. May we suggest that the producing company is represetted as an `organisation` and each festival (each year) represented as a `project`. Additionally, paricipating companies and shows may be `assosciated` with the project.
We would normally expect the person creating a project on COPOR to have been a director, producer or other significant activist on the project, though eventually anybody can create a project. If you see a project in the archive that you worked on you may ‘associate’ yourself with it. The project owner will be contacted and asked to verify your association. If you see a project that you feel you should rightfully ‘own’ then you may request transfer of ownership. The same principle applies to organizations.
Once you are associated with a project you may post archive material, and contribute to the blog. Owners have full editorial control of the archive for that project.
Please check back regularly, as the network and archive grows there will be additional associations that you can make to your profile, organization or project.
