Frequently asked questions
Who may create projects and organizations?
Once you have an account you may create any projects and organizations you wish. We anticipate that in most cases you will know if you are sufficiently connected to the project or organization to allow you to create its entry. If not please do contact the appropriate person and ask them to create it. It is also possible to transfer ownership of a project or organization, so one person may create it, but pass its ‘ownership’ to somebody else. The owner is essentially the person who has editorial control of the entry’s content.
What constitutes a project?
A project may be one event, a touring event or event a festival or other umbrella event, though in this case we also hope that the individual participating events will create their own archives.
Can I use the site without registering?
Without registering you may browse the content and read some of the articles. You will also see the full upcoming events listing, but you will not be able to create records of projects nor contribute to existing records. You will not be able to contribute events listings, nor associate yourself with any organisations. In essence your role will be entirely passive.
Do I need to create an organisation to represent me?
No, from your basic profile alone you can become an active participant in the archive and network, you may create project, and associate yourself with existing projects and organisations. Thus if you operate as an independent artist, or indeed as an individual with an interest of any kind in the sector then your basic profile will represent you.
